This page grows as real questions come in — for now, the essentials.
What is bathROOMs?
A reverb plugin tuned to sound like an actual bathroom — the room you sing in, not a generic algorithmic space. It's the first thing I'm releasing under Hot Shower Audio.
How do I use it?
I recorded a full video walkthrough: bathROOMs start to finish — 19 minutes going through every control and when to reach for it. It's in Spanish. If you'd rather read, the plugin carries its own manual: click the bathROOMs name in the top left.
How much does it cost?
Pay what you want, starting at $0. If it earns a spot in your sessions and you want to support the work, put in whatever feels right — and you can always come back and pay later.
How do I activate it?
You get a license key by email when you download it. The first time you open the plugin it asks for the key: paste it once and you're done. After that it never needs the internet again — the plugin keeps working offline. If the email isn't there, check your spam folder before writing to me.
How many computers can I use it on?
Two, with the same key. It doesn't expire — you own it, it's not a subscription.
What if I change computers?
Free the old computer's slot from your own account: open your purchase receipt (the link is in your email), click your license key and sign in with the link they send you — from there you can deactivate the machine you're leaving. Heads up: the button isn't on the receipt itself, you have to open the key. Then activate on the new computer with the same key. On Mac there's a shortcut: uninstalling with Uninstall bathROOMs (in Applications, inside Hot Shower Audio) frees the slot by itself. Your presets stay put either way. And if the computer got lost or you can't sign in, write to me at [email protected] and I'll free it.
What DAWs does it work in?
Anything that hosts VST3 or Audio Unit (AU) — Ableton, Logic, Studio One, Reaper, Cubase, FL Studio, and more. On Mac there's Pro Tools too: the AAX build is signed and comes in its own installer. On Windows it's VST3 only for now.
What operating systems are supported?
macOS 11 (Big Sur) or later, and Windows 10 or later. Universal build on Mac — Apple Silicon and Intel, one file.
Will there be more plugins?
Yes — bathROOMs is the first thing on what I think of as the shelf. More are coming, each with its own identity, made with the same care.
I found a bug — how do I tell you?
Check troubleshooting for what to include so it gets fixed fast — or just email [email protected] directly.
Who's behind Hot Shower Audio?
Just me — Alejandro Ramírez (Ramalejo), a mix engineer. See about for the full story.
