troubleshooting
Most installs go straight through. If yours didn't, find your situation below.
I installed it but don't see it in my DAW
Rescan plugins in your DAW's settings, then restart it — most hosts do this on their own, but a manual rescan never hurts. Check you're looking at the right format (VST3 and AU are sometimes scanned separately). If the installer didn't say it finished successfully, run it again.
macOS asks if I'm sure I want to open something downloaded from the internet
That's normal, not an error — every app downloaded from outside the App Store shows this once. Click Open.
macOS says it can't verify the developer, or that the app will be deleted
Shouldn't happen with a current download. If it does, right-click (or Control-click) the installer or the app and choose Open, then confirm. If it keeps happening, you may have an old copy — grab the latest from this site and try again.
Windows says "Windows protected your PC"
Expected for now — Windows builds aren't code-signed yet (that cost is going into the plugins first, not the certificate). Click "More info", then "Run anyway". It's an unfamiliar-publisher notice, not a virus warning.
The Windows download disappears, or the folder vanishes
Windows Defender deleted it. Same cause as the notice above — the Windows build isn't code-signed yet — but instead of warning you, Defender sometimes removes the file quietly, so it just looks like the download failed. To get it back: open Windows Security → Virus & threat protection → Protection history, find the blocked bathROOMs installer, click it and choose Actions → Allow on device (or Restore). Then run it again. If that doesn't work, tell me and I'll send you the installer another way.
What are the minimum requirements?
macOS 11 (Big Sur) or later — one universal build for Apple Silicon and Intel. Windows 10 or later.
It loads, but I don't hear anything
Check the bypass button isn't on, and that Dry/Wet (or Mix) isn't sitting at 0%. Also double-check your DAW actually routed audio into the track the plugin is on — obvious, but the most common cause by far.
External sidechain isn't showing up as an input option (Logic)
Usually a stale Audio Units cache, not a plugin bug. Quit Logic; if the option still doesn't appear, resetting the AU cache (Logic Pro menu → Manage Plug-ins) clears it.
It crashed my DAW when I inserted it
First, make sure you're on the latest version from this site — the fix might already be out. Still current and still crashing? That's exactly what the report below is for.
still stuck?
If your situation isn't above, or the fix didn't work, tell me directly — that's the fastest way it actually gets fixed.
The more specific you are, the faster I can reproduce it. If you have a short screen recording, drop the link inside “what happened” — it says more than a paragraph.
